Uncle Pop was injured in the legs with shrapnel during the war in 1914/18 and always walked with one leg completely stiff so the knee must have been injured.
Uncle Pop was in charge of the wards at Brentwood Mental Hospital until he retired. He always wore a navy uniform and a big bunch of keys. He retired to Chelmsford with Aunt Peg.21
